About

I'm of Taiwanese descent and I grew up in Vancouver where I now work in the IT industry. I am by no means an expert cook, a culinary genius, or even a self-proclaimed food critic. Vancouver is a city where eating out is one of the main pastimes. Restaurants are a dime a dozen and I've gone to my fair share of establishments that I would never return to, as well as those that I frequent regularly because they're worth it.

Since I eat out quite a lot and I always have things to say about restaurants and food, so I figured that I might as well start a food blog. I officially created the blog on September 15, 2013, and posted my first entry on September 16.

On my fooding adventures, you may see references to the following anonymized dining companions:
  • J is my wife, who loves variety and doesn't like eating the same foods too often.
  • H is my daughter, who is currently 3 and loves eating carbs like noodles and bread.
My reviews will always include a summary which breaks down my rating of the food, service, setting, and overall value. I use a colour system for those four attributes so it is visually easier to spot restaurants that excel or are poor in specific areas.
